Today marks a significant milestone for the Wilson community as Reckitt Benckiser Health and Neopac US, Inc. announce bringing substantial investment and job opportunities to the area.
Reckitt Benckiser Health announced its acquisition of the Sandoz facility. The company plans to invest nearly $146 million into the facility, which will be dedicated to producing Mucinex.
This investment will create 289 new full-time positions, with an average salary of $80,000, including benefits. Reckitt’s operations boosts the local economy and provides residents with stable, well-paying jobs.
In addition to Reckitt’s announcement, Neopac US, Inc. is set to expand its operations in Wilson, investing $10 million to enhance their manufacturing capabilities. This expansion will result in the creation of at least 27 new jobs, offering an average wage of $63,000, including benefits.
Both companies’ investments contribute to a remarkable total of $674 million in new investment dollars and 992 direct jobs announced in 2024, demonstrating Wilson’s growing reputation as a hub for industrial and economic development.
